High School Rowing and Middle School Rowing at the Newport Rowing Club!
The Spring 2012 season at NRC for the competitive rowing program starts for varsity rowers on Monday, February 27, 2012, with practices Monday thru Friday from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Competitive novice rowers begin on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, with practice Tuesday thru Friday from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. This springNRC will be offering our recreational program beginning Monday, March 5, 2012 and will run Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3:30-6:00 p.m.
Both Recreational and Competitive Rowing programs are appropriate for high school or middle school rowers. Recreational Rowing includes youth twelve (12) years old through high school. Competitive Rowing is eighth (8th) grade through twelfth grade.
Following is the tentative schedule for the NRC Spring 2012 competitive program -
- Baltimore Invitational – April 14, 2012 (all competitive crews)
- Mercer Lake Sprints – April 21 2012 (all competitive crews)
- Cooper Cup – April 29, 2012 (all competitive crews)
- USRowing Mid-Atlantic Junior District Championship – May 11-12, 2012 (all competitive crews)
- USRowing Youth National Championships – June 8-11, 2012 (qualifying crews)
