July 11-15 – Another beautiful week of rowing for the campers attending NRC’s Session 3 “Learn-to-Row” Summer Camp. This week a couple of our campers traveled quite a distance to attend our summer rowing camp…one coming from Ithaca, New York, rowing on beautiful Cayuga Lake and the other, the hands-down winner for coming the farthest distance was our camper from Florida.
June 27-July 1 – Following a fun-filled Session 1 week of NRC’s Learn-to-Row Summer Camp, Session 2 did not disappoint. With many of our previous week’s campers signing on for Session 2 and “moving up” a boat, NRC coaches were busy teaching a whole new group of novice campers the fundamentals of rowing and fine-tuning technique for our more experienced crews.
June 20-25, 2011 – The first session of NRC’s “Learn-to-Row Summer Camps” wrapped up on Friday with races for the campers while parents, siblings and friends looked on. Pizza and a birthday celebration followed. After a warm-up run, stretching and some abdominal exercises, the athletes were ready to get on the water and “show their stuff.”
