GENERAL INFORMATION

This regatta is very crowded. There are 111 clubs currently registered to participate. Please leave time not only to get to the venue but to through traffic to drop your athlete off.

Please note that the venue extends the entire length of Fairmount Park on Kelly Dr. Check the Facebook and Instagram pages on Saturday for our trailer location so you can drop your athlete off at the right end of the park. Otherwise it can be a 2-3mi walk.

As a reminder, parents are asked not to visit the trailer (even for pictures!). This is to protect your safety and to preserve a focused atmosphere for the athletes to prepare for races.

PARKING

Spectator Parking: Parking for spectators is located on Reservoir Road above the Strawberry Mansion bridge. Parking on Kelly Drive is for coaches and competitors only. Spectators are allowed to unload items in the drop-off zones located on Kelly Drive. The first zone is located at the middle driveway to the main trailer lot. The second zone is approximately 500 meters south of the SJU Boathouse. Drivers must then continue to offsite parking on Reservoir Road. A free parking shuttle (see below) will be available to bring passengers to a drop area on Kelly Drive or a drop area at Boathouse Row. Go to the Maps section for a shuttle map and offsite parking locations.

Parking Shuttle: A free parking shuttle will run from 10:00am to 6:30pm in a continuous loop between the parking area, the SJU boathouse, and Boathouse Row. The four white school buses, provided by the Philadelphia Trolley Works, are the same buses that will be used in the evening for the Terror Behind The Walls at the Eastern State Penitentiary. If you see a big white vehicle that says 'GHOST BUS' that is your ride!! The buses will have a sign in the window that says 'Navy Day Regatta'. After 4:30pm the shuttles will shift to one 'Big Bus' to complete the transportation for the remainder of the day.
