About the Camp

The Summer Learn-to-Row Camp is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about rowing and develop basic skills. The week will begin on the rowing machines learning the "bones" of the rowing stroke. After the first day, campers head out on the water with our experienced coaches. Current athletes will help the campers scrimmage against each other throughout the week in both sweep and sculling boats.

From a Camp Parent:

"My daughter had a great time at your Learn to Row Camp last summer.  She particularly enjoyed the fact that it was a relatively small group that hung out together.  She enjoyed spending time with the experienced rowers who served as counselors as well as the time spent with coaches.  That is  an intimacy she's not used to with swimming, and I think it allowed her to warm up to the coaching staff quickly."

From a Camper:

"After the first day of the camp, everyone bonded quickly and it was a very close environment, which surprised me because I have never experienced anything like it. It was also great to learn how to row next to experienced rowers and with experienced rowers as camp counselors. The camp was a good way to get outside and to be around amazing new people. Ever since this camp, I have fallen in love with rowing and I plan on continuing through high school."
