Practice Times:

2 Weekdays (TBD)

Saturdays 8:00 am - 11:00 am

The Middle School Rowing program provides the opportunity to expose 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to a new sport in a fun and relaxed environment. Athletes will practice on land and on the water, depending on the weather. The land days will be spent practicing rowing technique on the indoor rowing machines, participating in circuits designed to improve mobility and fine motor skills, and learning basic weight-lifting techniques.

The coaches at Newport Rowing Club understand that before true interest and passion can be developed, student-athletes need to enjoy what they do. All these goals are accomplished in a fun and engaging environment to help the athletes to grow to love rowing as a lifelong activity.
